You can register your Nation for the new game by going to the summery of your own Nation and there is a link there you can click on to register and save your name for NS2
I'd like to carry on travelling in NS2 if its possible.

When NS2 comes out should we give it an amount of time to get ready for travel?
For the first few days at least there will probably be a mad scramble for people to create their old regions.

We could create Travelling Region and all meet up there to get the feel of the game.
As all the travellers don't look here we could send them a telegram saying what we intend to do.

I have been invited to NS2 on an other nation of mine, and I still don't know much about the new gameplay. Is it possible to leave continents?

Ok, I did just see they issued 500 'keys' to NS2 you must be one of the lucky ones, I have no idea how it works it looks different and don't know if we could carry on our travelling there just seems to be Nations and Alliances. www.nationstates2.com/Let us know how it goes.

How is this different to NationStates 1? The main difference is that your nation is no longer a perfect, untouchable entity, floating in a bubble of its own magnificence. You still guide its domestic development through daily Issues, but there is a new sphere of interactive gameplay with other nations.
NS1 Regions are replaced by both Continents and Alliances: there is no longer any need to physically move your nation to enter a social group, nor a restriction on being in just one at any time. Thus, in NS2 your nation is fixed in a particular Continent, but can join, create, and leave Alliances as you wish, and "endorse" others nations for positions within each Alliance.

I guess I wasn't important enough around here to be one of the original 500. So you guys will have to look out for our interests!
But I'm assuming my nations names will still be preserved, right?

Yes your Nations names should be preserved for you, and you should get to play before they take new players, I have only just got in and was not in the first 500 I don't think.
There seems to be a little choice to what world you are placed in, we could maybe make an alliance but I don't think there will be any travelling in NS2

Not do I, actually I'm not that enthusiastic at all about NS2, the original version is much more fun.

Even the original was a bit screwed up when they did the Regional Influence thing. My WA nation was part of a small invasion recently, to view how this works. After a month as delegate I STILL didn't have enough regional influence to PW the place. Takes all the fun out of invading and defending.
