I take it that this is a fairly new group, right? I'm kinda thinking of joining, except for my ties as the delegate in my region (not to mention the imminent launch of NS2.) But if I ever do decide to sever bonds with my current region, I would almost certainly rally with you in your adventurous exploits through the vast expanses of the NationStates world.

Some parts of the group are old, some newer, the board is new, if you would like to join us why not make a puppet to travel with us, most of us have commitments in other regions too.

I have eight or nine other nations, and manage it somehow.

Has anyone noticed this:
The NS world is vastly different than when we first started our trip. Now on our second time around from A to Z, it is sad to see so many one-nation regions. I can go through whole pages of them.
Also, it took much longer the first time. It was years before we got through. This time I think it will take little more than a year, or maybe even less. Most of the regions with double digit nations are either super big or inactive.
More startling, when I started travelling there were about 800 regions. Then it zoomed up to over 1100. Now, in spite of all the one-nation regions, there are a little over 400.
I have lost many old nation friends here. I am concerned that Nationstates will become defunct. I believe the problem started with NS 2, but that could be just a coincidence. Perhaps there are other nation building games out there that people like better.
Well, my friends, I am here to the very end, if it ever happens. If this nation dies out it is because I am in a coma or dead.

I was afraid of NationStates demise but I have new hope now that Max Barry has taken back control of NS1, I guess it depends on how long he wants to support it or how he wants to develop it but it is reasuring that he has taken back control and seems to be commited to it. I am logged into NS and I'll paste some stats in.
The world contains 48,911 nations in 6,041 regions.
This seems fairly steady between 48/ 50,000 nations at the moment
Currently online: 497 nations.
In saying that we have lost a lot of players since the NS2 episode and things have definately changed.

When I mentioned the number of regions, I was speaking of pages of regions: the ones I have to flip through to get anywhere!

Thank you so much for visiting Eurth. You're such a friendly flock! So polite and world-wise. First-to-arrive Migrating Geese was so kind as to allow a short interview. You can read all about it here. www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1399769Thanks again and have a nice day, Orioni
